Manchester City, 5-0 !!!

Looking like a well organized team, Manchester City managed a overwhelming victory against Sunderland with a tennis score it the comparison can be made.

They started the scoreboard with Adam Johnson, first stand-up since January, opening the score in the 9th after a pass from Yaya Toure.

As time passed after the first quarter-hour, Carlos Tevez obtained a penalty kick, transformed by the same player, taking the score at 2-0 for the blue team.

Sunderland struggled to keep the score in normal proportions but Manchester City’s players, David Silva and Patrick Vieira found the breach in their defensive, taking the score at 4-0. And it was just the minute 66.

Sealing the deal was the perfect job for Yaya Toure, when from six yards managed to glue the ball on the inside net, crowning Manchester City with a great victory.

Chelsea hopes for title!

A dream weekend in Barclays Premier League for Chelsea FC, in the game against Manchester City, a match worthy of all good words. Promising a game on life or death for the three points, Chelsea to hope for title and City to recover some points and restore its image.

The first part started in force with City all over Chelsea, but Cech was on duty every single time. Ancelotti’s boys made a good job defending the crown because, the second part, odds were about to flip sides.
Having a Drogba on the edge with fabulous passes, Luiz in 77th minute and Ramirez in the last minute took Chelsea on the podium on the overall rankings in Barclays Premier League, with nine points under Manchester United but with a match in hand. City is sliding for 10th position.

Carlo Ancelotti: “It was a very difficult game. We played a good game – we had focus, spirit and a good attitude. First half we had to be quicker in front to get the right solution. Defensively we were good. Man City lost a bit of power because they played on Thursday.”

Another game, another victory! Chelsea won 3-1 thanks to two goals from Frank Lampard and one from John Terry, the blue’s legends, with Jason Puncheon adding a late consolation Blackpool.

This victory puts Chelsea within only nine points of Barclays Premier League leaders Manchester with a match in hand.

The Seasiders manager, Ian Holloway, whose side have won one from nine matches are just two points above the relegation zone.

Ian Holloway : “We are a bit sore because we didn’t feel we deserved that, we didn’t deserve to be more than two goals away from them,” he said. “We needed something to give us a bit of belief, we needed the second goal in the game but unfortunately they got it.”

After this defeat, they’ve got to suck it up, gather their forces and stand up in the next game against Blackburn, in the relegation battle.

Liverpool….VICTORY!!!!

Liverpool has succeded in its quest, one of the most important victories of the season and the most beautiful game led by Kenny Dalglish.

What could be nicer than a brilliant victory at Anfield Road with their old time rivals Manchester United!? Liverpool managed to relaunch the title fight when Kuyt, 30-year-old striker, made a wonderful hat-trick.

The goal of honor for Manchester was scored by Hernandez, served by Giggs.

A misunderstood afternoon left Arsenal three points minus of leaders Manchester United.

The Gunners gave their best against the Black Cats but were unable to find a break-through as Steve Bruce’s army struggled to put an end of the last four successive defeats.

Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager, was very frustrated by the timekeeping of the officials after Sunderland equalised in stoppage time to deny his side victory.

Darren Bent’s goal came in the fifth minute of stoppage time when four minutes had been shown on the board.

Wenger said: “If you have a watch, you can control. It’s as simple as that,” said Wenger.
The Frenchman appeared for a duel with the fourth official Martin Atkinson in protest, but replied moments later: “I complain to nobody, especially not you.”

As a conclusion, the Frenchman added: “It was outside the four minutes. I know the referee can give more than four, it’s a minimum of four minutes. But in the four minutes nothing happened to justify the extension of the time. But I cannot do anything about that.”
